Prospective Graduate Students
Dr. Chavarria will be reviewing applications for a new student for the fall 2026 application cycle (to start Fall 2027). Competitive applications are those with independent research experience (e.g., honor's thesis, first-authored scientific publications/presentations, lead or major role in a research project), strong letters of recommendation, long-term goals of academic/research careers, and research interests that align with the RoAD Lab. We are currently looking for applicants interested in understanding the role of inflammation and other mechanism in driving alcohol use and alcohol-related consequences. Prospective Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate research assistants are vital to conducting research. RAs gain hands-on experience in addiction research and comorbid disorders. They contribute to meaningful studies by summarizing literature, managing data and participants, running experiments, and attending lab meetings and trainings. All undergraduate students are welcome to apply.

The RoAD Lab requires a 2-semester (consecutive) commitment of 5-10 hours per week. Those interested can send a CV or resume and your grade report/transcript to jchavarr@uwo.ca.
