Jason is a PhD student in the clinical science and psychopathology stream. His research aims to identify and target processes that maintain and exacerbate high-risk behaviours (i.e., self-injury, substance use, suicide, and eating pathology), particularly among racialized and LGBTQ+ populations.

Karla is in the first year of her PhD in Clinical Science and Psychopathology program at Western University"​. She completed her BA in Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). Her research interests include high-risk substance use in emerging adulthood and development of substance use disorders, with hope of informing prevention strategies and early interventions. In her free time, she enjoys baking, travelling, and photography. 

Lila is a PhD student in the psychological basis of Kinesiology at Western University. She also completed her undergraduate degree and MA in Kinesiology at Western university. Her research is focused on the effect of exercise on alcohol craving and executive function in heavy, social drinkers. Her favourite free-time activities are running and hanging out with her pug George. 

Fernando is a second year MSc student in the Clinical Science and Psychopathology program at UWO. He holds a Master’s in Community Psychology from the University of Chile and a BA in Psychology from the Central America University in El Salvador. His research interests focus on the links between trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and substance use disorders, particularly among survivors of the Salvadoran civil war and their family members. Fernando is also member of the Surviving Memory in Postwar El Salvador collaborative research team, a SSHRC-funded partnership project based at UWO (www.elsalvadormemory.org).

​Vidhi is a first year MSc student in the Clinical Science and Psychopathology program at UWO. She completed her BSc in Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour at McMaster University. Her research interests are broadly in women's health and addiction. In her free time, she enjoys painting, reading and baking.

Taylor is a first year MSc student in Clinical Psychology. She completed her Master's in Neuroscience at Western University in 2025. Taylor is passionate about investigating the transdiagnostic factors related to substance use disorders and eating disorders. She is also passionate about animal conservation and enjoys running, bouldering, and traveling.
